Answer: See figure below
A bank has a system that manages financial transactions. When transferring money between accounts. the system must never retrieve a value for the source account that reflects the balance before the transfer and a value for the destination account that reflects the balance after the transfer. Of which ACID semantic is this an example?
Answer: D
In the scenario described, the system must ensure that the balance of the source account is not retrieved until the transfer transaction is completed, and the balance of the destination account reflects the updated balance after the transfer transaction is completed. This ensures that the transfer transaction appears to execute sequentially, even if other transactions are executing concurrently.

I think the correct answer is actually: Online analytical processing (OLAP). See first figure here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/data-guide/relational-data/online-analytical-processing Fact tables Data warehouses Otherwise, can someone explain to me why it is ETL instead of OLAP? It clearly says that it's taking data from files and OLTP, and sends it to an analytical processing system.

A data engineer is responsible for which task?
Answer: D
D A data engineer collaborates with stakeholders to design and implement data-related workloads, including data ingestion pipelines, cleansing and transformation activities, and data stores for analytical workloads. They use a wide range of data platform technologies, including relational and non-relational databases, file stores, and data streams. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/explore-roles-responsibilities-world-of-data/2-explore-job-roles

What are two characteristics of real-time data processing? Each correct answer presents a complete solution. NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.
Answer: BD
Real time processing deals with streams of data that are captured in real-time and processed with minimal latency to generate real-time (or near-real-time) reports or automated responses. For example, a real-time traffic monitoring solution might use sensor data to detect high traffic volumes. This data could be used to dynamically update a map to show congestion, or automatically initiate high-occupancy lanes or other traffic management systems. Which file format has defined names and data types for each column and uses compressed columnar storage?
Answer: C
The file format that has defined names and data types for each column and uses compressed columnar storage is Apache Parquet. Apache Parquet is a columnar storage file format that is designed for efficient data storage and query processing. It stores data in a columnar format, where each column is stored separately, allowing for efficient compression and selective column reads. Parquet files also include metadata that defines the names and data types of each column, enabling schema evolution and efficient query execution. Parquet is widely used in big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop for its performance and storage efficiency.

The answer should be YNY https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/access-tiers-overview The archive tier is an offline tier for storing data that is rarely accessed. The archive access tier has the lowest storage cost. However, this tier has higher data retrieval costs with a higher latency as compared to the hot and cool tiers.
